I'm familiar with the cartoon from the 1980s. I used to watch it every Saturday morning. I'm also familiar with the original animated series from the 1960s because I used to watch it my Grandma's house because she had cable and got all the awesome old cartoons. But I had never seen or even heard of this live-action version of
The Amazing Spider-Man that consisted of 13 episodes from 1977 to 1979. Until now.
It's easy to gauge how awesome this show must have been just by watching the intro. The '70s porn music, the creepy-as-fuck spider suit, the super realistic climbing and jumping effects all point to one truly amazing Spider-Man show. Thankfully these episodes are all over the YouTube so I can enjoy them at my leisure. And I will. Probably when I'm drunk.
