There really isn't much I need to say about this upcoming Japanese splatter-eros.  It has blood and boobies and katanas and werewolves.  And it's Japanese.  It may just be the perfect movie.  Just watch the trailer and you will see.

Long, long ago, there was a wolf-man tribe who had no women. All through history these desperate wolf men have attacked and raped female humans as a way to continue their species. But the wolf men have a terrible legend where every hundred years, on the night of a red moon, a little girl is born and she is destined to destroy the wolf-man tribe. The lecherous wolf men are so afraid of females that they have developed a code which requires they kill baby girls soon after they are born. But only the lovely Beniko Akatsuki survives this terrible fate.

These days, Beniko fights endless battles against the wolf men. Poor Beniko's mother was ruthlessly raped by a wolf man and gave birth to Beniko. To save her baby girl, Beniko's mother had to sacrifice her own life. Now, Beniko wears a memento of her beloved mother, a red riding hood, and she has dedicated her life to killing all the wolf men. One day, Beniko senses that the evil wolf men are sneaking into a high school. The clever Beniko pretends she is a school girl and starts attending school, only to find vicious, horny pack of female-deprived wolf men. Beniko protects her fellow school girls as she fights them off with her sword and her red riding hood.

Entrails of a Virgin

Entrails of a Virgin is a film from the pinku eiga subgenre of "splatter-eros," which as you have probably guessed is a combination of gore and softcore porn.  It's essentially a slasher/horror/softcore hybrid, and of course it's Japanese.  Who else would make these movies?  Ok, maybe the Italians.

In order to produce a film which relies on sex and violence as the selling points, the plot doesn't need to be complex.  You just need naked girls and a monster.  In this case, the monster is supposed to be a "demon" or something, but really it's just some guy covered in mud with a huge penis...  I guess I should explain a little.

After a photo shoot in a remote mountain location, the photographer, his boss, the assistant and three female models get stranded in the woods when a thick fog rolls in.  As they are slowly driving down a back road through this fog they hit a man who is covered in mud, but after a quick search they can't find any sign of him so they continue on.  The fog becomes too thick to continue traveling and they need a place to stay for the night.  Fortunately, or unfortunately, they come upon a deserted house and break in.

Two of the men are absolute scumbags and manipulate the girls into having sex to further their careers.  Promises are made that if the girls give up the goods, the photographer and his boss will make them into stars.  I'm pretty sure that was just pillow talk but I will never know because the mud-covered man-demon starts killing everybody.  Well, he kills the men outright but he pleasures the ladies with his huge, infernal phallus and then he kills them too.  I told you there wasn't much of a plot.  Sex and gore, that's what this movie is all about.

Because this is a Japanese movie, genitals cannot be shown and so they are fogged over which I'm sure will disappoint western audiences.  As a result of this blurring of the good parts, the sex scenes have a tendency to drag on as extended dry-humping moan fests.  Also, the gore isn't that great.  It's not exactly original and includes your standard decapitations, hanging hooks and hammers to heads, but there is a scene where a crazy woman pleasures herself with a severed arm which I thought was interesting.  It made me smile anyway.  Overall, I thought Entrails of a Virgin was a pretty damn entertaining film, but you don't have to take my word for it... (that's a "Reading Rainbow" reference)
