Cannibal Girls (1973) Trailer
These Girls Eat Men
SCTV regulars Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin star in this Canadian horror spoof as a couple on a romantic holiday who settle into a quaint little bed–and–breakfast run by a trio of flesh–eating ladies who fancy them for tomorrows menu.
Released in 1973 and directed by a then–largely unknown Ivan Reitman, Cannibal Girls quickly acquired a reputation as the B–movie concoction of the 1970s. Canadian audiences had never before experienced such a rich blend of camp, gore, and comedy. On top of the films overt B–movie presentation, the theater–going public was also introduced to the warning bell experience: just prior to a scene of particular malice, the easily upset viewers would be warned by the sound of a bell, at which point they could shut their eyes.

Glory Annen's Glorious Little Boobies
Glory Annen, whose real name is Glory Anne Clibbery, was born in Kenora, Ontario on September 5th, 1952 and was given the name "Glory" by the nun who delivered her after exclaiming, ‘Glory be, what a pretty girl.’ She attended the Victoria School of Performing Arts in Edmonton, Alberta (Leslie Nielsen, Robert Goulet and Tommy Chong also went there) before moving to England at the age of 17.
She started her film career in 1977 with a bit part in the movie Cruel Passion, then worked with cult director Norman J. Warren in the films Prey (1978) and Spaced Out (1981) but she is known mainly for her role in the booby-filled Australian production Felicity (1979)
Recently she was interviewed for the documentary Not Quite Hollywood about her role in Australian exploitation cinema.

Following Jason Eisener Through Fuck Town
That is a picture of Rutger Hauer and Jason Eisener. Mr. Eisener directed Hobo with a Shotgun and you should follow him on Tumblr. For serious. He posts all kinds of behind the scenes shit from Hobo with a Shotgun, independent Canadian stuff and Hobo related short films like "Robo with a Shotgun," as well as all kinds of goodies from the glory days of exploitation cinema. It's like a goddamn grindhouse circus!
It's called "Welcome to Fuck Town" and you should go there because Fuck Town is a land of magic and wonder. Or you can find him on Facebook.
Here are a couple of those goodies I was talking about:

Hobo with a Shotgun
It seems there is a Canadian addition to the lineup of new "grindhouse" films. Originally conceived and shot as a fake trailer for the Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino double bill Grindhouse, Hobo with a Shotgun has been made into a full length feature film starring a grizzled Rutger Hauer. It's nice to see some modern Canuxploitation.
About four years ago I had a dream that Rutger Hauer was a prison warden and he gave me two nickel plated .45s to stop inmates from escaping under the fence of the prison. I don't know what that means...
Anyways, the movie comes out this spring. Can't wait!
Below is the original fake trailer and the trailer for the upcoming film.
